2. Washing and Dressing

Washing and dressing are very sensitive aspects of personal care. As such, we will provide carers of your preferred gender and will always take your feelings into consideration.

Toileting: We recognise that some aspects of care are very intimate. We will ensure to provide regular carers who will always treat you with dignity and respect.

3. Oral Care

Maintaining good oral health is essential to your overall well-being. We will provide regular carers to help with your oral hygiene. Our staff will ensure you are comfortable throughout the day so that you can maintain your self-esteem and avoid pain and infections.

4. Meal Preparation and Eating

It may have become more of a struggle to prepare meals. It is crucial to maintain a healthy diet by eating good, healthy meals. We will provide carers to help prepare all your meals to your preference and circumstances.

5. Managing Medicines

It is important that if you have medication to take, the medication is taken as prescribed. We will provide carers to assist you to collect your medication from your Pharmacy if needed or to assist you to take your medication as per the prescription.

Our carers will help support you to compile your shopping list and assist with your shopping. We will always ensure you are fully stocked with all your food requirements and other personal items you might need.

8. Out-door Activities

Should you wish to collect your pension, pay your bills or arrange to attend an activity, our carers are ready to help in any way. We can help in the planning and arranging of such visits, no matter how short or long the activity is- even if it is just a short walk for some fresh air.

9. Companionship/Sit-In

We recognise that loneliness and social isolation is common in the elderly and can have a serious effect on health and well-being. Our carers will provide a sit in service for companionship to engage in activities you enjoy, such as puzzles, watching movies or simply sitting together over a cup of tea.

10. Palliative Care

We believe that everyone has the right to choose where they spend the last days of their lives-for many this will be in their own homes surrounded by the people they love, as comfortable and peaceful as possible in familiar surroundings. We will provide carers who will help you and your family make that choice. We will help design an end of life care plan with you at the centre to meet your specific preferences. All this will be done in a respectful and dignified manner.

11. Dementia Care

Although dementia affects older people it is not a normal part of ageing. Dementia is a horrible disease in which there is progressive deterioration in brain cells causing a person to lose their ability to remember, use language, control their body and affects their ability to process thought and plan. It is one of the major causes of disability and dependency in older people.

Dementia has a physical, psychological, social and economic impact not only on the sufferers but also on the carers, families and society at large. Sufferers are left with feelings of loneliness and sometimes suffer from anxiety and is heart breaking for family to witness.

We understand the devastating impact dementia can have on individuals and their families. We provide caring and sensitive carers to help care for individuals living with dementia. We will speak to your loved one and their family to find out what is important to you and the care package you would like put in place. The care package will always be designed to be person- centred to meet specific needs and preferences.

12. Day/Night Sit-In

Should family/carer have need for respite care or carers break during day or night, we can provide a carer to sit with and act as a companion through the day, preparing meals and helping you to live independently in the comfort of your home.

Our night sit in care provides an awake carer throughout the night providing reassurance to both individuals and family members.

13. Live In Service

Our focus is on keeping people safe and happy in the comfort and familiarity of their own home. We have dedicated and highly experienced carers who provide a one- to-one service. An initial assessment is conducted and personalised care provided reflecting individual needs, choices and social needs. We aim to help maintain independence as much as possible so that individuals are able to maintain a healthy and happy life.

Specialist carers are provided for those clients with conditions such as Dementia, Parkinson’s, Stroke care, or requiring Palliative care. Our carers are highly trained to provide care and support that positively enhances quality of life, enabling people to live well in their own homes.

We work very closely with Occupational Therapists (OTs) when clients are discharged from hospital. With input from OTs we will ensure a comprehensive plan of care with all the equipment needed in place at home reducing the risk of falling and thus allowing you to live well at home. We also work with OTs for when there are mobility and frailty challenges.
